Provision of information held by Northumbria Police made under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the 'Act')(FOIA)
Thank you for your email dated 17 May 2012 in which you made a request for access to certain information which may be held by Northumbria Police.
As you may be aware the purpose of the Act is to allow a general right of access to information held by a Public Authority (including the Police), subject to certain limitations and exemptions.
We request, under the "Freedom of Information Act 2000" details of all domestic heating oil thefts from private residences in the Northumbria Police area for the period 01 Jan 2009 up-to 30 Apr 2012.

Date of Oil Theft,
Approx. Time of Theft,
Approx. litters stolen, if known,
Approx. Value of oil stolen, if known,
Postcode area, e.g. CB10 1, IP1 19,
PLEASE NOTE: We do not require the complete postcode was we do not intend to identify specific properties which have been subject to theft.
We have now had the opportunity to fully consider your request and I provide a response for your attention.
Following receipt of your request, searches were conducted with the Corporate Development Department of Northumbria Police. I can confirm that the information you have requested is held by Northumbria Police.
I have decided to disclose the located information to you as follows.
Please note that 'holiday cottages' have been included in the research for this request.
Where the exact date and time of the offence is not known it has been shown over dates/times between, when it could have occurred.
Where the post code is incomplete on the spreadsheet below it was not fully recorded at the time.
