Provision of information held by Northumbria Police made under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the 'Act')

Thank you for your e mail dated 7 February 2017 in which you made a request for access to certain information which may be held by Northumbria Police.

As you may be aware the purpose of the Act is to allow a general right of access to information held at the time of a request, by a Public Authority (including the Police), subject to certain limitations and exemptions. 

You asked:

1. Between 1 July 2016 and 31 December 2016, how many domestic abuse crimes were recorded Northumbria Police? 

2. How many of the above domestic abuse crimes were recorded as having the following outcomes:

Type 01: Charged/Summonsed

Type 03: Caution – adults

Type 15: Evidential difficulties prevent further action; victim supports police action

Type 16: Evidential difficulties prevent further action; victim does not support police action

Following receipt of your request, searches were conducted with the Corporate Development Department of Northumbria Police. I can confirm that the information you have requested is held by Northumbria Police.
