Police have released CCTV images of people they wish to trace after ornaments were stolen from a memorial garden.

The theft happened at just after 11.15pm, on Friday, October 24, on Sidney Grove, in Newcastle.

Thieves made off with four ornaments from the front yard of the address which had been made into a memorial garden by the occupant following the death of her daughter in 2010.

The stolen items are described as: a mole with a head torch; an angel with a light; a boy and girl holding hands and a hanging twisted ornament.

Police are keen to trace the people in the images who may be able to assist with the ongoing investigation.

Anyone who recognises them, witnessed the theft, or thinks they have information to assist police should come forward.
