Sat nav theft in Blyth

Police are appealing for information after a sat nav was stolen in Blyth.

Between 9pm Tuesday, January 13, and 7:10am Wednesday, January 14, thieves broke into a car parked in Banbury Way.

They searched the car and stole a TomTom XL2 sat nav before making off.

Enquiries are ongoing into the theft and anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 101 ext 69191 quoting reference number 807 14/01/15.

Motorists are being reminded to remove valuables, like sat nav systems, from their vehicles when leaving them overnight.

Drivers are also urged to make sure their cars are locked and secure when parked and unattended.
