Appeal after man assaulted

Police are appealing for information after a man was assaulted in Washington.

It happened at 12.30am in the early hours of Saturday, January 20, at the Wessington pub at Donwell when a 51-year-old man was assaulted, suffering a cut to his forehead which required stitches.

A 24-year-old man was been arrested on suspicion of causing GBH with intent and has been bailed pending further enquiries.

Police are appealing for witnesses to contact them on 101 ext 69191, quoting reference 65 20/12/14, or independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
