South Tyneside CCTV Appeal

Police are releasing CCTV images of people who may be able to help solve crimes in South Tyneside.

The images relate to eight crimes, mainly thefts, and officers are asking the public to help identify those pictured as it's hoped they may have information that can help with enquiries.

The release comes during Northumbria Police's Operation Soundwave, aimed at tackling crimes such as theft and burglary across the force.

South Tyneside Area Command Chief Inspector Sarah Pitt said: "We regularly release CCTV images to the public in efforts to resolve detect currently unsolved crimes in the borough.

"On this occasion we're releasing information about eight crimes, enquiries have been carried out into each of these but we're now asking for the public's help to identify the people in the images as they may be able to help with our investigations."
