Two pigeon coups damaged in arson

Jacket-7_tcm4-102101 [View Full Size] Police are appealing for information after two pigeon coups were damaged after allotments were set on fire in Gateshead.

Between 10pm and 11pm on Thursday, January 8, two allotment plots were set on fire at the allotment site in Cobden Street.

The fires caused damaged to two pigeon coups, killing 40 pigeons from one of the coups.

The fires caused a substantial amount of damage and it's believed they were started deliberately. Police are treating the incident as arson.

Officers are appealing for information into the fires and asking anyone with information to contact them.
