Appeal after collision in South Shields

Police are appealing for information after a collision in South Shields.

At 9:26am on Monday, February 2, a black Skodia Fabia collided with a pedestrian on the A194 Western Approach near to the roundabout with the Port of Tyne.

The pedestrian, a 39-year-old man, was taken to the RVI hospital with injuries. He is in a stable condition.

Enquiries are ongoing and anyone who witnessed the collision, or who has any information, is asked to contact police on 101 ext 69191 quoting reference number 250 02/02/15.
