Police are appealing for information after a burglary in Northumberland.

It happened between 3pm and 5.45pm, on Friday, February 20, when police received a report that a burglary had taken place at a house in Lucker.

During the burglary, a number of jewellery and silverware was stolen along with a laptop and Black and Decker drill.

It's believed a silver VW Golf as well as a white van were seen driving up the hill in Lucker towards the house and police are asking for these drivers to come forward as they may have information about the burglary.

Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information to contact them on 101 ext 69191, quoting reference 894 20/02/15, or independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

The appeal comes as Northumbria Police's Operation Soundwave - aimed at tackling those suspected of being involved in opportunist theft and burglary.
