Two burglaries in Ponteland

Police are appealing for witnesses following two burglaries in Ponteland.

The first took place at a garage at the rear of a residential property in The Rise, overnight between 7.30pm on Thursday, February 19, and 10am, on Friday, February 20.  Offenders forced open a garage door causing damage to the property, but left empty handed.

The second burglary occurred at a house in Ladywell Way between 9am on Tuesday, February 20, and 4.30pm on Saturday, 21.  Thieves gained access via the rear of the house and forced a door to gain access.  They stole property including a violin, toolbox, Sharp hi-fi and Bosch saw and made off.

Police are appealing for witnesses to both incidents and for anyone who may be offered these stolen items for sale to contact police.

Officers are carrying out enquiries in the area and additional officers are on patrol to reassure the community.
