Two jailed for aggravated burglary

Two men have been jailed for a joint aggravated burglary in Tynemouth.
Layton Bruce, 40 of Shieldfield House in Newcastle was sentenced to seven years and Martin Oshea, 28 of Alexanda Road in Ashington was sentenced to six and a half years at Newcastle Crown Court today.
The pair committed the offence at an address in Grand Parade in Tynemouth on Sunday, October 26, 2014. Nothing was stolen during the incident.
Detective Constable Richard Jobson, Major Crime said: "We're pleased that the court has handed down these sentences which shows how seriously they view these types of crimes.
"This crime has caused great distress to the victims and I hope that the sentences handed down today will help them to put this behind them."
