Volunteers are helping police tackle speeding in Washington as part of a new Community Speedwatch scheme.
Last year, police invited members of the community to join the new scheme to help tackle issues around speeding in their neighbourhood.
The initiative, supported by the Safer Sunderland Partnership, sees volunteers work with police to monitor the speed of motorists on roads where concerns have been raised about the issue.
