Appeal after motorbike collision

Police are appealing for information after a motorbike was involved in a collision in Morpeth.

At 5:16pm on Monday, March 16, a motorbike was travelling on the C154 between Whalton and Meldon, west of Morpeth, when for reasons yet to be established it left the road.

The rider, a 19-year-old man, suffered serious injuries and was taken to the RVI hospital for treatment. He remains in hospital in a critical but stable condition.

Enquiries are ongoing into the collision and police are appealing for anyone who might have been travelling on that road at the time of the collision and saw what happened to contact them on 101 ext 69191 quoting reference number 903 16/03/15.
