Attempted Burglary in Hebburn

Police received a report of an attempted burglary on Prince Consort Road on Tuesday, February 24.

Officers attended the scene where an offender has attempted to gain entry to the premises through shutters before making off.

The incident is believed to have happened between 2pm and 5pm.

On Saturday, March 14, police received a report of a man acting suspiciously outside the property. Officers attended and it was established no offences had been committed. The man is believed to have left the area and officers spoke to the people in the venue to offer reassurance.

Extra officers are on patrol in the area to provide continued reassurance.
