Shed burglary in Morpeth

Police are appealing for information after a shed burglary in Morpeth.

Between 11pm Friday, March 13, and 7:30am Saturday, March 14, thieves got into an unlocked garden shed at a property in the Longhirst area.

They stole an orange Stihl saw worth around £100 before making off.

Enquiries are ongoing into the burglary and police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them on 101 ext 69191 quoting reference number 558 16/03/15.

There has been a number of similar crimes in the Longhirst area in recent weeks and it appears thieves are targeting unlocked sheds. Residents are urged to ensure their sheds and garages are locked and secure and that valuables are stored somewhere safe.
