Man assaulted in Blyth

Police received a report of an assault on Cowpen Road in Blyth on Thursday, March 19.

At around 6.50pm officers attended the scene where a 24-year-old man had been assaulted by a group of men.

The man was taken to hospital with an injury to his arm.

One of the men believed to be responsible is described as being 6ft and wearing a beige jacket and a beanie hat with a pom-pom.

Extra officers are in the area carrying out enquiries and providing reassurance.
