Footprint released following car damage

Police are appealing for information following a series of car damages in South Tyneside.

The incidents happened between 1.30am and 2.05am, on Thursday, July 23, on Australia Grove, South Shields.

Three teenagers ran over the bonnet and roof of several cars parked in street, causing damage.

One is described as wearing Adidas clothing, including a blue and green tracksuit top, blue tracksuit bottoms and trainers.

The second was wearing a red and blue tracksuit top and grey tracksuit bottoms.

The third offender wore a blue Adidas tracksuit top with a hoody underneath.

Officers investigating the incident also know one offender was wearing Nike trainers as a footprint was taken at the scene.

All are believed to be aged around 17 or 18.

Enquiries into the damages are ongoing. Police are keen to speak to any witnesses or anyone who recognises the offenders from their descriptions. They are particularly keen to speak to anyone who may recognise the style of trainer from the footprint taken.
