Police are appealing for information after a racist incident on a bus in Newcastle.

On Saturday, July 25, a man on the number 40 bus between Blackett Street and St James made racist comments.

Enquiries are ongoing into the incident and police are issuing an image of a man who they want to speak to about the incident.

He was on the bus at the time of the incident and may have information that could help police with their enquiries.

Anyone who recognises him is asked to contact police on 101 ext 69191 quoting reference number 809 28/07/15.
