The victims of a burglary in Newcastle, in which a puppy was stolen, are offering a reward for the safe return of the puppy.

Between 1pm and 6pm on Saturday, August 22, a house in Gill Street was burgled. The burglars stole a 14-week-old Dachshund bitch called Kendal.

Kendal's owners are now offering £1000 for her safe return.

DC Jane Campey said: "Kendal's owners are distraught that she has been stolen, especially as she is so young and had only just recently joined the family.

"They are desperate for her to be returned and I would ask anyone who has any information about where she is or about the burglary itself to please get in contact with us."

The reward will be given to information that directly leads to the safe return of Kendal to her family.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Northumbria Police on 101 ext 69191 quoting reference 1065 220815 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
