Street robbery in North Shields

Police are appealing for witnesses following a robbery in North Tyneside.

It happened at approximately 11.35pm on Sunday, December 20, in Chirton West View in North Shields.

A 30-year-old man was delivering pizza to an address when he was approached in the street by two men.  They threatened him and stole an undisclosed amount of cash before making off.  The man was shaken but otherwise unhurt.

The offenders are described as both white men, one 6 feet 1"-2" tall  with black hair with brown freckles on his cheeks who spoke with a local accent. The second man was approximately  5'9" tall, medium build, with ginger or strawberry blonde hair.

Police are appealing for witnesses anyone who was in the area and who may have seen or heard anything suspicious is asked to contact police.
