Woman racially abused in North Shields

Police are appealing for information after a woman was racially abused by a man in North Tyneside on Tuesday, December 22.

Officers were called to reports that a 19-year-old woman had been verbally abused as she walked near the Post Office in Nile Street, North Shields.

The incident is believed to have happened at 5pm where a man approached the woman and shouted at the woman in an unprovoked attack.

Police are now appealing for help from the public and have released a description of the man to help identify him.

He is described as a white man, 6ft tall and of a broad build. He was wearing a navy blue jacket zipped up and dark pants.
