Jewellery stolen in burglary

Police are appealing for witnesses after a burglary at a house in Sunderland.

The incident happened between 10.30am and 12pm on Monday January 11, at an address in Atkinson Road.

The offenders broke into the property and stole a quantity of jewellery.

Among the items stolen were:-

A gold band with a gold elephant charm attached to the ring; a gold diamond cluster ring with 5 small diamonds; a silver bangle with a patter engraved on the band; a gold wedding band and a gold ring with a black onyx stone.

Officers are carrying out enquiries into the burglary and are asking anyone who saw anything suspicious in the street at the time of the burglary or has information about similar items of jewellery being sold second hand, including jewellery shops.
