Appeal after two men robbed in Newcastle

Police are appealing for information after a robbery in Newcastle.

Between 1:15am and 1:30am on Sunday, January 24, two males (aged 16 and 18) were walking along Ponteland Road, between Brighton Grove and Fenham Hall drive, when they were approached by two men.

The men attacked the victims and stole their mobile phones and bags before making off.

The offenders are described as being in their 20s, both white, one was of stocky build and around 5ft8ins tall and the other of skinny build and around 6ft 5ins tall. Both were wearing hooded tops with their hoods pulled up.

Enquiries are ongoing into the robbery and anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting reference number 143 24/01/16
