Cyclist injured in hit and run

Police are appealing for witnesses after a cyclist was injured in a hit and run collision.

The collision happened around 6.25pm on Monday, January 18, in Dairy Lane in Houghton.

The cyclist, a 46-year-old man, was knocked by a silver/grey BMW causing him to be injured. He received hospital treatment for his injuries and has since been discharged.

The BMW did not stop at the scene and officers are keen to for the driver to come forward. Police also believe there are witnesses to the collision they have not yet spoken to and are keen for these people to get in contact.
