Appeal after window smashed in Dunston

Police are appealing for information after the front window of a house was smashed in Dunston.

At 3:20pm on Saturday, January 23, a stone was thrown through the front window of a house in West Way.

This caused the window to shatter and shards of glass to fly into the property, narrowly missing a baby who was inside at the time.

Enquiries are ongoing into the damage and police are appealing for anyone with any information into the incident to get in touch.

Officers believe there was three youths who were in the area at the time of the incident.

They are aged between 13 to 15 years old, one was smaller than the other two and they were wearing dark waterproofs and dark jogging bottoms.

Officers want to identify and speak to them about what happened as they may have information that could help with the investigation.
