Man arrested after cars damaged in Gateshead

A man will appear in court after a number of cars were damaged in Gateshead.

In the early hours of Monday, March 7, 16 cars parked in the Sunderland Road area of Felling were damaged.

An 18-year-old man from the Hebburn area was arrested and has been summonsed to court in connection with the offences.

He will appear at court on a future date yet to be identified.

Police have arrested a man after a number of cars were damaged in Gateshead.

At 1:50am on Monday, March 7, police received a call from a member of the public about a man damaging cars in the Sunderland Road area of Felling.

Officers attended and arrested an 18-year-old man on suspicion of criminal damage.

He is currently in custody and enquiries are ongoing.

We believe around 16 cars parked in the Rochester Terrace, Holly Hill and Sunderland Road areas have had their wing mirrors damaged and paint work scratched.
