Police are appealing for information after a theft from a community centre in Brunton Park.

On Friday, February 12, a 71-year-old woman's handbag was stolen from inside St Aidan's community centre in Princes Road.

The bag contained her glasses, her mobile phone and her purse and bank cards.

Money was then taken from her bank account using the stolen cards.

The theft happened while a group of elderly people were inside the community centre playing bowls.

Enquiries are ongoing into the theft and officers are releasing CCTV images of two men they want to identify and speak to about the incident.

They were in the area around the time of the theft and officers believe they may be able to help with enquiries.

Anyone who recognises either of the men is asked to contact police on 101 quoting reference number 745 12/02/16.
