Attempted burglary in South Shields

Police are appealing for information after an attempted burglary at in South Shields.

The burglary happened at 4.15pm on Tuesday, February 23 in Froude Avenue. Two men attempted to burgle a house in the street.

The first offender is described as white, 5ft 10 inches tall, late thirties, skinny build and messy blonde hair. He is described as having a poor complexion with scars. He was wearing a black coloured jumper with a large letter 'H' in the centre.

The second offender is described as white, approximately 25 years old, 5ft 9 to 5ft 10 inches tall, medium build, short dark hair and unshaven. He was wearing a grey hoody.

Officers are carrying out enquiries and are appealing for witnesses.
