Collision in Gosforth car park

Police are appealing for information after three people were injured after a collision in a Gosforth car park.

At around 4.10pm on Monday, May 2, officers received a report of a collision between a car and two pedestrians at the Marks and Spencer car park in Hollywood Avenue, Gosforth.

Officers attended where two people had become trapped between vehicles after another car collided with them.

The two people, a man and a woman both in their twenties, were taken to hospital with serious injuries. The 78-year-old driver of the vehicle was also taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Police are keen to speak to the people who physically lifted the vehicles to release the two injured people as they may have witnessed the incident but also to thank them for their actions in helping those injured in the incident.
