Theft of prawn pots

Police are appealing for witnesses following the theft of prawn pots in Northumberland.

It happened on Monday, May 2, between 3.30am and 4.04am when 19 prawn pots were stolen from Amble Harbour where they had been left outside next to the harbour wall.  The stolen pots were put into a small white van and driven off down Harbour Road. 

The offender is described as a white man, slim build, 5 feet 7" tall wearing a Russian style fur hat and dark clothing.

Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone who may be offered these prawn pots for sale to contact police on 101 quoting reference number 471 04/05/16
