Cyclist injured in collision

Police are appealing for information after a cyclist was injured in a collision in Northumberland.

The collision happened yesterday (Monday May 23) at 4.15pm on the roundabout on Northumberland Road, in Tweedmouth near to Farm Foods. The cyclist, a 62 year old man, was taken to Newcastle RVI by air ambulance with serious injuries. His injuries are believed to be life-threatening.

The road was closed for around 3 and a half hours to allow collision investgiation.

Officers are carrying out enquiries into the collision and are appealing for witnesses.
