Indecent exposure in Newcastle

Police are appealing for information after an incident of an indecent exposure offence in Newcastle.

It happened at 9.55am on Tuesday, May 17, near to Havelock Place and the junction with Elswick Road. A man in the rear lane exposed himself to a19-year-old woman who was shocked and ran off. The man made off unseen.

The offender is described as a white man, approximately in his 40s, medium build, 5 feet 6" tall with short dark hair.

The man did not attempt to touch the woman.

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

Officers have been in the area speaking to the local community and carrying out enquiries into the incident and are continuing to appeal for witnesses.

Enquiries are ongoing to try and trace the man and if anyone thinks they may know who this is, or has any information that might help with the investigation, they are asked to contact police on 101 quoting reference number 250 17/05/16
