15-year-old boy assaulted in Hylton Castle

Police are appealing for information after a 15-year-old boy was assaulted in Sunderland.

The incident happened at 6pm on Saturday, June 5, in Chiswick Road in Hylton Castle. Following an altercation in the street the offender headbutted and punched the 15-year-old. He suffered minor injuries.

The offender is described as white, 40's, 5ft"10 inches tall and stocky/large build. He was wearing a grey t-shirt with an army veteran logo on, dark Adidas tracksuit bottoms and trainers.He drove off in a silver 04 reg Audi saloon.

Officers are carrying out enquiries into the incident and are appealing for witnesses. Anyone with information is asked to contact Northumbria Police on 101 quoting reference 921 040616 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
