Police are appealing for witnesses following a theft of a phone in Northumberland.

It happened at 10.15am on Tuesday, May 31, in Norham Road in Ashington.

A 34-year-old man who was feeling unwell fell over onto the ground, when getting out of his car, near a doctor's surgery.  Another man came to his aid and helped him up. The 34-year-old later found his mobile phone had been stolen.

Police are appealing for witnesses anyone who was in the area and who may have seen or heard anything suspicious is asked to contact police.
