Convenience store robbery in Sunderland

Police are appealing for information after a robbery at a convenience store in Sunderland.

The robbery happened at 8.50am on Sunday, June 11, at the Nisa store in Hylton Road in Pallion. A man went into the store and threatened staff, he made off with a quantity of cash.

No-one was injured in the robbery.

Detectives are carrying out enquiries and it's believed the offender was riding a red bike and was wearing dark clothing. He may have have also been wearing a white coloured mask and carrying a holdhall type bag. Officers are keen to speak to anyone who saw anyone fitting a similar description in the area yesterday morning to get in contact.
