Several incidents of car crime

Police are appealing for witnesses following several incidents of car crime at two Northumberland car parks.

Two vehicles parked in Roxburgh Place car park, Alnwick were damaged, one a moped had the ignition damaged between 4.30pm on Thursday, June 16 and 8am on Friday, June 17. Secondly, a window was damaged on a Ford Transit van parked between 8pm and 9pm on Thursday, June 16.

Three cars were broken into when they were parked in Greenwell Lane car park at the rear of Alnwick Playhouse, they took place between 7.30pm and 9.30pm on Thursday, June 16. 

We have descriptions of offenders for the Greenwell Lane car park incidents.  Three male youths, one wearing a mid-blue top aged late teens to early 20s with dark hair and another wearing a black hoody and the third a grey top.

Offenders also attempted to break into the Map Dispenser machine at the same location, causing damage to the machine. 

Police are appealing for witnesses, anyone who was in either area and who may have seen or heard anything suspicious, is asked to contact police.

Officers are also asking motorists to be vigilant and to report any suspicious activity they may see around parked vehicles to police straightaway.
