Rolex stolen during Newcastle robbery

Police are appealing for information after a Rolex watch was stolen during a robbery in Newcastle.

At 2:30am on Friday, April 15, a 21-year-old man was outside an address in Lily Avenue in Jesmond when he was approached by two men.

They assaulted the victim and knocked him unconscious. When he awoke his Rolex had been stolen.

The watch is a silver and gold GMT Master 2 Rolex model and is worth around £10,000.

The two offenders are described as -

Male 1: Black, 6ft tall, of slim build and around 20 to 25 years old. He has short dark hair with 'mutton chop' style side burns and a tattoo on his neck - which is believed to be writing with swirls around it. He also had a silver grill covering across his front teeth.

Male 2: Middle Eastern appearance, 5ft 10ins all, of slim build and around 20 to 25 years old. He had short dark hair, a beard and was wearing dark clothing.

Enquiries are ongoing into the incident and anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting reference number 111 15/04/16.
