Damage to shop in Northumberland

Police are appealing for witnesses following incidents of criminal damage to a shop in Northumberland.

They took place at Cutter's hairdresser's on Wright Street in Blyth.  The first incident happened between 8.40pm and 8.50pm on Thursday, June 9, two unknown men threw stones at the large shop windows, smashing them and then ran off.

The following day there was a second similar incident at 6.50pm on Friday, June 10, when a brick was thrown through the front window and the offender ran off, and short time later again a brick was again thrown through a window.

These incidents have caused considerable damage to the shop and police are investigating.

Police are appealing for witnesses, anyone who was in the area and who may have seen or heard anything suspicious is asked to contact police.
