Lawnmower stolen from roadside

Police are appealing for witnesses following the theft of a lawnmower from a Northumberland roadside.

It happened on Saturday, June 25 at 3.30pm when a black and red Mountfield petrol lawnmower was being used to cut the grass verge on the A1068 at Radcliffe.

The owner left it unattended for a matter of minutes while he went to collect his loader to empty the grass into. When he returned it had been stolen.

Police are appealing for witnesses, anyone who was in the area and who may have seen or heard anything suspicious is asked to contact police, also anyone who is offered this item for sale.

Anyone with information should call police on 101, quoting reference number 56155K/16 or ring the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
