Two further arrests in Wallsend death

Police investigating the death of a man in Wallsend have made two further arrests.

Andrew Keenan, aged 28, of Bewicke Road in Wallsend died in Cramlington hospital on Monday, August 1, after being found in an address in Bewicke Road.

Enquiries are ongoing into how the 28-year-old man died and at this time his death is being treated as unexplained.

Detectives have now made two further arrests, a 30-year-old woman and a 27-year-old man have both been arrested in connection with the death and remain in custody helping with enquiries.

The two men aged 35 and 30, who had previously been arrested, have now been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

Enquiries are continuing.

UPDATE 4:45pm 04/08/16

Police are continuing to make enquiries into the death of a man in Wallsend.

At 12:40pm on Tuesday, August 2, police received a report from the coroner about the death of man from the Bewicke Road area.

The man had been taken to Cramlington hospital on Monday, August 1, after being found in an address in Bewicke Roadand later died in hospital.

Enquiries are ongoing into how the 28-year-old man died and at this time his death is being treated as unexplained.

The deceased man is Andrew Keenan, aged 28 of Bewicke Road in Wallsend.

A 35-year-old man who had initially been arrested in connection with the death remains in custody.

Police have also arrested a second man, aged 30,  in connection with the death.

He also remains in custody at this time.
