Woman charged after man stabbed in Newcastle

A woman has been charged after a man was stabbed in Armstrong Road in Newcastle.

On Wednesday evening, August 10, police received a report that a man had been stabbed in Armstrong Road.

Officers arrested two men and a woman in connection with the attack.

One man has been released no further action, the second man has been released on police bail and the woman has been charged.

Sarah Jane Zibens, 32, of Bedale Gardens in Kenton, Newcastle, has been charged with possessing an offensive weapon and wounding. She will appear at South East Northumberland Magistrates court on August 12.

The victim was released from hospital on Thursday.

Police have arrested two men and a woman in connection with an attack in Newcastle.

At 5:20pm on Wednesday, August 10, police received a report that a man had been stabbed in Elswick Road.

Officers and paramedics attended and the man was taken to hospital for treatment. He is thought to be in a stable condition.

Two men and a woman were located and arrested in Newcastle city centre at around 6:20pm. They are currently in custody.

It is believed that those involved in the incident are all known to each other.
