Criminal damage incidents

Police are appealing for witnesses to two separate incidents of criminal damage in Northumberland.

A car was damaged overnight between 10pm on Wednesday, August 10, and 6.30am on Thursday, 11 August, while it was parked on Gloucester Street in New Hartley. The bonnet, rear panel and roof were damaged with what appears to have been a key or similar object. The offender made off. 

Police are appealing for witnesses to contact them on 101 quoting reference number 72862R/16.

On Friday August 12, between 2.30pm and 4pm in Scott Avenue, Nelson Village in Cramlington. A large quantity of engine oil was poured onto land next to the householder's lawn causing substantial damage to the lawn.

Police are asking for any witnesses to contact them on 101 quoting reference number 072860V/16.
