Medication stolen from van

Northumbria Police is warning people over the dangers of taking non prescribed medication.

Earlier this afternoon (Monday, August 15) at 12.15pm police were informed a van, used to transport medication, had been stolen from Grindon Lane in Sunderland.

The van has since been recovered however the owner has confirmed to police the medication has been stolen.

The medication taken is medformin and amatriptyline and would be harmful to anyone it is not prescribed to.

Anyone who is offered the medication, knows where it is, or has information about the theft should contact Northumbria Police.
