House burglary in Corbridge

Police are appealing for witnesses following a burglary at a house in Northumberland.

It happened at an address in Watling Street in Corbridge between 10am on Monday, August 8, and 9am on Monday, August 15.

Offenders forced entry from the rear and stole a kitchen knife before leaving.

Police are investigating and are carrying out house to house enquiries.

Neighbourhood Inspector Kevin Oates said: "This is an isolated incident in Corbridge and we're appealing for help from the public to report any suspicious activity to us."
