Robbery in Wallsend

Police are appealing for information after a robbery in Wallsend.

The incident happened at 4.30pm on Station Road on Friday August 26. The victim, a 25 year old man, was in his car when he was approached by a man who asked him for a lift. The victim agreed to take him to Silverlink however while en route the victim was threatened and forced to pull over and get out of the car. The offender then drove of in the car which was later found parked at the doctors surgery on Earsdon Road.

The victimw as not injured in the incident.

Officers are carrying out enquiries and appealing for witnesses.
