Collision on the A69

Police are appealing for witnesses following a road traffic collision on the A69 at the Ovington junction.

At 7.33pm on Wednesday, September 21, police received a report of a collision involving a Mercedes car and a John Deere tractor towing an agricultural trailer, travelling eastbound on the A69 near to the Ovington junction.

For reasons yet to be established, the car collided with the rear of the agriculture trailer which caused serious damage to the car and left debris on the road. No one was injured during the collision.

The road was partially closed for a short period of time to allow collision investigation to take place.

Enquiries are ongoing into the incident and police are asking for anyone who was in the area around the time it happened, or who witnessed the collision, to contact them on 101 quoting reference number 1028 21/09/16 with any information.
