Vehicle damaged in Newbiggin

Police are appealing for witnesses after a vehicle was damaged.

It happened when a mobility van was parked on Cleveland Avenue in Newbiggin between 8am and 9am on Wednesday, September 21. A plant pot was thrown at the windscreen causing the glass to smash. Two women were seen by a passing driver sweeping up the debris at around this time.

The van, is an adapted Renault used by a disabled family member, and the criminal damage has caused huge inconvenience to the family.

Police are appealing for witnesses, anyone who was in the area and in particular the two women who were seen cleaning the mess up, is asked to contact police.
