Amble street disturbance

Police are appealing for witnesses following a disturbance in Amble.

It happened on Friday, October 7, between 4.30pm and 5.25pm when there was a verbal altercation on Queens Street between two men. They were joined by other people on Charles Road, near the Ratcliffe Club, who it is believed they knew and this led to a fight taking place.

Officers were called and a 43-year-old man was checked over by paramedics but did not require any further medical treatment, no one else was injured.

Police are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
