Man assaulted in Blyth

Police are appealing for witnesses to an assault in Blyth.

It happened outside the Blyth and Tyne Pub on Seaforth Street on Saturday October 15, between 11.45pm and 11.59pm.

A 41-year-old man was standing outside the pub, after going there to smoke, when he was assaulted.

He was taken by paramedics to Cramlington Hospital suffering head and facial injuries. Following treatment he was released from hospital.

Police are appealing for witnesses, anyone who was in the pub or the nearby area and who may have seen or heard anything suspicious, to contact police.
