Man robbed outside Central Station

Police are appealing for witnesses following a robbery in Newcastle city centre.

Between 2:25am and 2:30am on Tuesday, October 18, an 18-year-old man was confronted by two men in Neville Street, just outside of Central Station.

The men grabbed and threatened the victim and stole £5 from him before making off.

They are described as;

Male 1 - White, 5ft 10ins tall and around 30/40 years old. He had short curly mousey brown hair, was wearing a cream fleece and was of scruffy appearance.

Male 2 - White, 6ft 1ins tall and around 30/40 years old. He had short dark hair and was also of scruffy appearance.

Enquiries are ongoing in the area to try and identify the two men responsible and officers are appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time and who witnessed the incident to contact them on 101 quoting reference number 74 18/10/16.
